Carefully designed to preserve the natural beauty of the area, each golf course at this Bend, Oregon resort has a character all its own.  Our group has booked 4 foursomes at Crosswater on Monday, July 29th.  Honored by Golf Digest as one of "America's 100 Greatest Courses," Crosswater is a heathland-style course situated on 600 magnificently scenic acres of woodlands and carefully preserved wetlands. On Tuesday, July 30th, we have booked 4 foursomes at Woodlands which was designed by internationally celebrated golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., Woodlands features dense forests of ponderosa and lodgepole pine, outcroppings of lava rock and an abundance of water.

LAVA TUBE TOUR

Lava River Cave, part of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, is a mile-long lava tube. It takes 1.5 hours to walk to the end of cave and back out. Initial access descends 55 stairs to a combination of flat boardwalk, uneven surfaces and stairways. People should wear close-toed shoes and warm clothing because the average temperature in the cave is 42 degrees. Head underground and explore a subterranean world few have witnessed where you’ll learn more about the geological history that shaped these vast cave systems. You can rent a flashlight at the beginning of the hike for $5. No pets are allowed. We will have reserved parking permits and carpool the 10 minute drive from the resort to the cave.
